First cloister

The First Cloister (1580) which was also partially destroyed by the same bombardment of the façade, has been recently repaired.

On one of the walls of the cloister are photographs of manuscripts, incunabula and ancient documents which are preserved in the monastery's library.

There are also some photographs of the unforgettable visit (23rd September 1960) of Pope John XXIII to the Subiaco monasteries.
